Creative Burnout
September 9th, 2026
Good Evening
Tonight we're going to talk about something I have been suffering from since quitting my job about a month ago: "Creative Burnout".
Not that my job had to do with creativity or anything, but it certainly had a whole lot to do with my worth (not sure where that comes into play yet.)
For my entire adult life I've worked, whether it be one or three jobs at a time. This was mainly because I was told that I'm young and could handle it, and because one job at minimum wage never made enough to cover my financial needs.
I don't have a family like many others do to help them in times of hardship, my family and I are more like passing acquaintances; polite to one another's face and stabbing in one another's backs. All of my accomplishments throughout adulthood and thus far, have been my own, including living on my own at 17.
The first thing I started noticing was that I have no energy or tolerance for ANYTHING. Not cooking, cleaning, putting away laundry, unpacking and decorating my new apartment, none of it. Not to answer my partners endless questions about how long it takes for something to be done or what I want to do today, NONE OF IT.
I don't have any of the ideas I had for my pages on here before, and I don't have anyone real who wants to speak with me except disgusting old men messaging me on my social media and old friends who don't care about me unless they see something dramatic happening in my life but can't remember how many sisters I have no matter how many times I tell them for the past 4 years of knowing one another.
I just can't , and if you want to find me and talk to me about anything else or play games together, my discord name is on my page and my steam page is linked.
It's okay to take a break and not be creatively motivated and emotionally burnt out. I promise I have been here plenty of times before and just like me, you will return, but you have to give yourself the time, love, and patience that it takes to do that.
If you're going through the same thing as me then please feel free to reach out. Please give yourself the kindness you deserve while taking the time to refill your own cup.
Make every day brilliant -MB
